Ruben Ferreira Duarte is a Portuguese designer, originally from Setúbal and currently living in Lisbon, Portugal.
His days are divided between his work as a designer, leading design teams, specializing in digital accessibility and design systems, and his work as a Visiting Adjunct Professor at the School of Social Communication at the Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon.
Ruben is a self-confessed fan of asking a lot of questions and has a hard time with anything out of place, especially if it's on his desk.
He believes that design can be a fundamental tool for designing products, services, and experiences, whether digital or not. He also believes that strategy and the design process can establish themselves as indispensable business tools for the companies of the future, contributing to the construction of a value-added economy.
In his spare time (whatever he has when he's not traveling), he's also a trainer in the areas of UX, UI, and Product Design, and editor of DXD, a blog whose mission is to help digital transformation teams in general, and design teams in particular, imagine the next generation of digital products, services, and experiences.
